STEUBENVILLE – The individual who gained control of a local Steubenville Big Red sports fan website said he did so to shed light on a local rape investigation involving two Steubenville High School student-athletes.

“I wanted to just get the word out,” Noah said. “The story sounded a bit shady, so I figured I would help.”

The 22-year-old Virginia Beach, Va., resident agreed to an interview with the Herald-Star and asked that his last name not be used, however, his identity has been confirmed.

  1. Well….You have certainly helped..This child is now going to have to testify in a open court, in front of news reporters, bloggers and just curiosity seekers. I am sure she will feel very confortable re-living every minute of her attack to the public. The public’s demand for accountability by having her case heard in public, IMO, she is being raped all over again.
How would any of you adults like to be facing this kind of justice?
Now will she subject herself to this kind of embarassment or drop the charges?? Wow.. Justice for this child comes with a high price, due to all the “helper” that have her,the victim, best intrest at heart…

  2. Are you sure she is going to testify? Has her attorney said that she is, or the defense attorney?
From what I have heard the girl has been thankful for all the support from “anonymous” and others that have been protesting. Perhaps I have been reading the wrong blogs and media outlets.

    • I am sure about nothing but that her attorney pleaded with the judge to have her case closed to the public… How many times have you heard of a case involving ONLY juveniles, to have their trials open to the public???
This judge is wanting to have his face on TV.. Why else would his decision be against the victims wish….

  3. This isn’t Court TV we are taking about here. Open to the public means keeping it just the way it was during the hearings. It doesn’t mean TV cameras are allowed to video the entire trial and air it live on TV. They may video portions of it but given the nature of the crime and the fact that it involves minors, the worse you are going to see on TV is the attorneys talking or maybe the judge which is no different from the hearings.

    • Just who needs to witness this child being questioned by these boys attorney? THINK!!!!!
Would you want to watch your little girl be put through all the questioning on the wittness stand? Yes she will have to testify for the boys have pleaded innocent.Without the accusor there would be no evidence.
This victim deserves being protected from all the spectators from all the bloggers and all social media…
We have all watched trials turn into a circus and this child deserves more…MOO

  4. This trial was always slated to be open to the public. Anonymous or the bloggers didn’t make the opening of it public.

  5. No one would want their child to go through this but then again no one would want their child raped, videotaped, pictures taken and distributed all around the internet by those who raped and those who watched and did NOTHING!

The public didn’t ask to have this case open. The media did and that includes their own local media who had been reporting (although not very well) on the case long before national media got wind of it. So why are you blaming the public? Even if the world didn’t hear about this case, the local media would of still made that request.

  6. She wants to help other rape victims due to the attention. Yes she is going to relive this but according to her attorney she has not asked to be at the proceedings. She wants to use her experience to help other rape victims. I think she is the bravest woman I know at her age. Unlike the callous little boys who ORIGINALLY distributed the child pornography on to the WORLD WIDE WEB. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/01/16/alleged-steubenville-rape-victim-hopes-case-will-help-other-victims-attorney/
