He told the New York Times that he asked his boys and since they didn’t feel what they’d done was wrong he had no recourse or right to discipline them for it.
I agree with George’s post above. IF (big unproven IF) Coach S. knew about the rape then had his players delete evidence from cell phones, that would be obstruction of justice. His priorities are wrong: football is a GAME, while rape is
a felony crime! Why would one high school that size need/have 19 football
coaches on the payroll anyway? Poor Steubenville.
