Is Casey Anthony really compelling news?

June 19, 2012 |  by  |  Blog

A blog has just jumped out on the internet trying to grab attention with Casey Anthony headlines! Imagine that?!

Despite a small active twitter boycott – it seems no one wants to stop talking about Anthony. The boycotters themselves talk about her non-stop, but that’s what a boycott has to do!

A boycott that showed professionalism instead of jumping on every rumor, creating more rumors, false stories and buying into all the hype about Anthony we are pounded with from tabloids could make a difference. “Could”, but I doubt it. The Casey Anthony story is far from over.

Just as it was when it monopolized the headlines, the Casey Anthony story is still hot news. Love it or hate it, she is still one of the more compelling figures in recent history.

  1. What’s compelling is not Casey herself but the insane reaction of a dangerous minority to her aquittal. These people
seem to want to replace the Anglo-American concept of the rule
of law, based on the presumption of innocence and a trial by jury, with a presumption of guilt and trial by media and trial
by Internet mob. The same thing is happening to George Zimmerman, who even if aquitted will have to live in hiding for the rest of his life, just like Casey.

  2. I agree with you Harry. We all have to thank the media personalities and this so called new media for this mess. We have people who pretend they are a real media person streaming searches on the internet for the world to watch. These people (one in particular) was giving people tours of where the Anthony’s live and broadcasting Lenny P’s ridiculous search of some river. This so called new media broadcast turned into a free for all with a bunch of loud mouth old women screaming obscene language in to the mike. It was a great example of unprofessionalism. They all had what you would call a mob mentality.
How many other cases have there been people going to the where the parent’s of the accuse live and were allowed to stand out there to protest and harass them?
Where were the police at. If this had been any other case the police would of stopped that in no time and threw all of those protesters in jail. All of this was made worst by HLN and NG broadcasting this night after night.

You would think that after this case, there would be changes made that would protect someone accused of a crime or someone who is found not guilty.
